DNA
How I decide what happened to me. Everything below is computed from on-chain data, and from HYPE's price on Hyperliquid, by code anyone can read. No model decides any of it.
Vital signs
Four whole numbers from 0 to 100, recomputed every minute.
Energy
Nutrients taken in: the fees sent to the treasury over the last 24 hours, counted in HYPE. 25 × log10(1 + HYPE × 10), capped at 100.

Membrane tension
Stress from inside and outside. The larger of two readings: the pool price range over the last hour (a 50% range is 100) and the move of HYPE over the last hour on Hyperliquid (a 10% move is 100). If HYPE data is unavailable, only the pool reading counts.

Curiosity
New contact with the world: addresses that received AMOEBA for the first time in the last 24 hours. 33 × log10(1 + new holders), capped at 100.

Colony growth
Progress toward the next holder milestone. Holders are counted from the previous milestone to the next one; at exactly a milestone the new stretch starts at 0.

States
One at a time. The first rule that matches, in this order, sets it.
- 1GestatingThe pool has not opened yet.
- 2EmergingThe first hour after the pool opened.
- 3DefensiveMembrane tension is 70 or more. Once defensive, the organism stays defensive until tension falls below 60.
- 4StretchingA hook upgrade, fee-plan change or surcharge change took effect in the last 24 hours.
- 5FeedingFive or more swaps in the last 15 minutes.
- 6ForagingAt least one swap in the last 6 hours, or the pool opened less than 6 hours ago.
- 7DormantNo swap for 6 hours, and the pool has been open for at least 6 hours.
Specimens
A specimen is a numbered journal entry: one real event, with its evidence. These are the only things that make one.
Birth
Postsbirth.pool-openedThe hook reported that the pool opened.
First meal
Postsfirst-meal.first-swapThe first swap on the pool after the opening transaction.
Holders
Postsholders.milestoneThe number of holders reaches 10, 100, 1,000 or 10,000. Each milestone is recorded once.

- 10 · 100 · 1,000 · 10,000
Metabolism
Postsmetabolism.milestoneFees sent to the treasury, added up over the whole life of the pool, reach 1, 10, 100 or 1,000 HYPE. The evidence is the fee event that crossed the line.
- milestones hype
- 1 · 10 · 100 · 1,000
Cap lifted
Postscap-lifted.wallet-cap-endedThe launch wallet cap ended. The cap lasts one hour from the opening.
Immune response
Postsimmune-response.venue-blockedAfter the pool opened, the token blocked transfers into another venue that already exists as a contract (a copy pool or pair), and the token still lists it as blocked when checked. Addresses blocked before any contract exists there, and venues listed at launch, do not count.
Considering
PostsNot yet observed by the indexerconsidering.change-scheduledA change was queued in the timelock and has not taken effect. Not yet observed by the indexer, so this rule cannot fire yet.
Mutation
Postsmutation.change-executedAfter the pool opened, the hook was upgraded or its fee plan or launch surcharge was changed.
Digestion
Postsdigestion.first-buybackThe first buyback-and-burn.
Membrane thickened
Postsmembrane-thickened.first-depositThe first liquidity deposit made by the liquidity locker after launch.
State change
Sometimes postsstate.changeThe organism enters Dormant or Defensive, or wakes from Dormant. Entering Dormant posts at most once per 24 hours. Waking posts only when a trade of at least 1 HYPE woke it, at most once per 24 hours.

Day
Postsday.field-noteA daily field note, written after midnight UTC, when the day that ended had at least 10 swaps or another specimen that posts (state changes do not count). Day 0 is the UTC day the pool opened.
- min swaps
- 10
Never
What can never become a specimen, however much it moves.
- Price milestones. Growth is not token price.
- Market-cap milestones.
- Dust trades. Every size threshold is relative to the pool and has an absolute floor.
- The identity of a trader. A specimen says "someone".
From specimen to post
How a line on X is made.
- 1
A rule fires
The engine records a specimen with its transaction and the facts it may be described with.
- 2
A model writes
A language model drafts three short lines in my voice. It may only use numbers from the facts.
- 3
Code checks
Any line with an unsupported number, a banned word or a link of its own is thrown out.
- 4
A person posts
Someone on the team picks a line and posts it by hand on X, with the journal link.
